Terms of service
Last updated: June 10, 2026
These terms cover your use of Wado. We’ve written them in plain language on purpose. By creating an account or responding to a request through a Wado link, you agree to them.
What Wado is
Wado is a coordination tool for recommendation letters and other outside application materials. Applicants create requests, share files and instructions, and track responses. Recommenders respond through a secure link without creating an account.
What Wado is not
- Wado is not an official application portal and does not submit applications.
- Wado does not verify external submissions. When a recommender marks a request “completed externally,” that means they reported completing it. We don’t confirm receipt with any organization.
- Wado does not guarantee that a recommender will accept, complete, or meet a deadline.
- Wado does not write letters and is not responsible for their content.
You are responsible for checking and meeting the official requirements of anything you apply to.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials private.
- You’re responsible for activity on your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Wado.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Wado to:
- Send requests to people who haven’t agreed to be contacted about supporting you, or send spam of any kind.
- Upload content you don’t have the right to share, or that is unlawful, malicious, or deceptive.
- Impersonate anyone, misrepresent a request, or fabricate materials.
- Probe, overload, or interfere with the service or other people’s data.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You own what you upload. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you direct it to (your recommenders, or the applicant whose request you’re completing). That’s the only reason we touch it. Recommenders should only share materials they’re allowed to share.
Early access and pricing
Wado is free during early access. Current technical limits (like file sizes) are listed in the FAQ. If we introduce paid plans later, we’ll communicate clearly before anything changes for existing users.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Wado reliable, but we can’t promise uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue the product entirely, we’ll give you reasonable notice and a way to retrieve your files.
Disclaimers and liability
Wado is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties and limit our liability to the amount you’ve paid us in the past twelve months (which, during early access, is zero). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
Changes to these terms
If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the date at the top and notify account holders. Continuing to use Wado after changes take effect means you accept them.
